Adekunle Bakare

Adekunle Bakare, CPA/CGA has worked in a variety of in-house accounting roles in both for-profit businesses and not-for-profit organizations in Nigeria for several years prior to his arrival in Canada, with stints during the following 2 years both as a Tax Services Agent with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), and as an Accounts Receivable Administrator for LifeWorks (formerly Morneau Shepell Ltd.), the public North American human resources services and technology company where he occasionally worked with both the company’s Office of the General Counsel, and the external and internal audit teams.

In addition to being a certified CPA in Ontario, Adekunle is a member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the United Kingdom, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), and has experience in full cycle accounting, budgeting and analysis, payroll, preparation of financial and management reports, auditing, and tax returns.

During his spare time, Adekunle enjoys reading about technology news and playing video games.

Adekunle received his Bachelor of Science (with a specialization in Accountant) from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria.
